Sherlock watched his own hands scrabble uselessly at John's shirt, clumsy with the sort of manic vibrating tension that usually dissipated at the end of a case. This time though, this time, it had only got worse. He was exhausted, and full to bursting with an unpronounceable something in a way he seldom felt except when detoxing cold turkey. It was uncomfortable, beating hard and needy in his chest despite the relative quiet of the flat. He swallowed it down and hoped it wasn’t audible.
Author Notes: For the Come at Once challenge (write a porn in under 24 hours). Sadly, I took a bit over 25, I think, and then took an inordinate amount to post to ao3, so my sincere apologies for that. Burning_up_a_sun's prompt: "I just follow your scent" from the Fall Out Boy song "Irresistable"

Not the most faithful sticking to the prompt, I'm afraid. And, for a porn challenge, possibly the most feelsy bit of sex I've ever written. I don't know how that happened. A lot of stuff has happened offscreen already in this universe, which is probably weird considering I wrote it fresh and it's not from an existing work or AU, I promise you. Just know that Mary is mostly handwaved away and the kid basically never existed. I just wanted John to not be in a mourning period.
Unbetaed for now, because of time constraints. Will be going through to fix formatting issues, and will hopefully be fixed up a bit generally over the next few days.
